You are looking at a NEW Panel Bolt + Nose Cone Kit to suit: Holden HQ HJ HX HZ This kit includes 34x White Zinc panel bolts 6x Inner rear of guard panel bolts + Spring washers 12 Stainless wheel arch screws + 12 Washers 2x Battery tray bolts, tray nuts + Spring washers These are NEW and a fresh set with domed washers that really make it easier to adjust the panel gaps when fitting. As the entire front end panels of these Holden models are bolted on not welded- this humble little bolt becomes very important. These panel bolts have captive DOMED washers just like the original panel bolts. The dome acts like a spring washer causing back pressure when the screw is tightened correctly. The pressure is about 12 times greater than a normal spring washer. Also the grade of the bolt is important, some kits are only using bolts which comprises a normal 5.5 grade bolt, flat washer and spring washer. These are ugly and underperform. Without the correct bolt & washer you can never get them tight enough for the front panels to stay tight and in line and it is impossible to keep this bolt tight in the situation it is being asked to perform . The grade of the bolt is also vital as the Australian Regulations dictate it and for good reason any bolt below this grade will shear in an accident and panels fly all over the place.
